Summer Celebration - Manhattan's Potato Festival

We really enjoy Manhattan's annual Potato Festival. Delicious food at the firefighter's breakfast and the booths, arts and crafts on display, the antique car show, the live music and the parade all bring people together for a wonderful celebration of summer in Montana! Manhattan draws their neighbors and friends together to honor their wonderful history and heritage.

Fun Fact: In 1950, seed potato farming was started in the farms around Manhattan. Over the years, seed potato farming has grown significantly and become one of our major agricultural products. The local farmers sell their potatoes to the community and ship their potatoes around the country. Thanks to the efforts of our local farmers, Manhattan, Amsterdam, and Churchill areas have become the potato capital of Montana.
